Meet Fraser and Iain

My name is Fraser Murray and I set up this business in 2005 having worked for over 20 years in various Franchised Main Dealers. The manufacturers that I have had first hand experience (and training) with include – Volvo, Subaru, Isuzu, Peugeot, Renault, Jaguar, Saab and Mercedes-Benz. I also have the benefit of having worked in both Sales and Aftersales having started as a Motor Vehicle Technician and then fulfilling many other roles including – Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, Used Car Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager and even Director.

Apart from the obvious appeal of wanting to be my own boss, I was becoming increasingly disillusioned by the way big dealerships were, in my eyes, mistreating valued customers. Dealing with my own customers on a one to one basis, and being in a position to treat everyone in a fair and decent manner is a privilege that I truly appreciate. It also gives me great pleasure to see a truly satisfied customer driving off in their new car with our sticker on the window.

One of my proudest achievements was being able to give my son (Iain) a job when he was ready to leave school in 2008. Having Iain on board has made a huge difference to Fraser Murray Car Sales and he is clearly enjoying learning every aspect of the business.
